Chinese AI startup Manus, known earlier this year for its multi-agent orchestration platform aimed at consumers and professionals, has introduced a new feature called “Wide Research.” This innovative tool sets Manus apart from other major AI providers like OpenAI, Google, and xAI, which have focused on “Deep Research” agents that perform extensive, detailed investigation and generate comprehensive reports.

“Wide Research” allows users to leverage over 100 AI agents working in parallel on a single large-scale task or a set of related sub-tasks. This parallelized approach is designed to handle high-volume workloads efficiently, expanding beyond the deep, focused research capabilities seen in other AI systems.

Manus continues to power its platform with leading AI models, such as Anthropic’s Claude and Alibaba’s Qwen, positioning itself uniquely in the growing field of AI-driven research and automation tools.
