As Battlefield 6 gears up for its much-anticipated release, the developer has organized two Open Beta testing phases for players. The first Open Beta will be available from August 9 to 10, followed by a second round from August 14 to 17.

Prior to these events, PlayStation 5 players discovered a new, exclusive cosmetic—the ‘Advance Party’Soldier Skin—designed specifically for PS5 users participating in the Open Beta. The skin, which features the PlayStation brand’s signature colors (primarily black with accents of gray and blue), will remain exclusive and become usable once the game launches in October 2025.

Aside from the PS5-only skin, EA has announced a set of unlockable rewards for all players who participate in the two test phases. For the August 9-10 beta, rewards include the Seeker soldier skin, All-Terrain soldier skin, Dominion weapon package, and Lights Out player-card background.

The August 14-17 session features unlocks like the War Machine vehicle skin, Bat Company dog-tag, and Striking Distance weapon package.

Notably, Battlefield 6’s design team has emphasized their commitment to realistic, grounded cosmetics, avoiding pop culture crossovers that could clash with the game’s traditional military setting. Design director Shashank Uchi reaffirmed this approach, stating that cosmetics should remain authentic to the franchise’s roots rather than indulging in celebrity tie-ins or fantastical elements.
